FCAI partners with the Illinois Construction Industry Committee and the Illinois Mechanical & Specialty Contractors Association to represent your interests in Springfield. FCAI staff and Directors actively participate and advocate for Important legislation such as Workmen's Compensation reform.
Free membership meetings, regional events, and membership in the National FCA
Almost everything FCAI offers is free—including lunch and dinner networking events and… membership!
FCAI offers tools to help build a more successful business and educate your employees. FCAI hosts many membership meetings throughout the year. These meeting imperative for FCAI members to attend and learn what is going on in FCAI, from fund reports to upcoming events. These meetings are also a great time to ask questions and get to know others in your industry. Help us make FCAI work better for you.
Along with membership meetings FCAI also hosts several events throughout the year. The Scholarship Awards Night and the annual Golf Outing are among the highest attended events FCAI organizes. Other events held throughout the year consist of Family Night at the Cougars baseball game, educational events such as the Safety Seminar, and the Spirit of Peoria Cruise hosted by FCAI Central Chapter.
Most of these events are free to members and several of them come with complimentary passes. All meetings and events include cocktails and either hors d' oeuvres or dinner. Members from all over northern and central Illinois attend these events so this is a great time to take advantage of networking with people in your industry.
Promotion of union contractors at trade shows and industry events
FCAI markets your company on a regular basis trying to help you obtain business. The Association staff exhibits at meetings, events and trade shows such as Buildex; BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association); Chicago Industrial Properties; Healthcare & Medical Facilities Conference; Chicagoland Property Management Conference and more.
Whenever there is a pressing issue in the industry we offer you the opportunity to educate yourself on the topic. Educational programs, seminars and webinars are regular occurrences. Past seminars have included unfunded liability, LEED certification, safety training, legislative forums, Quick Books training, and much more.
