DESCRIPTION:Join FCAI of Illinois for our Fall Membership Meeting featuring four Winter Olympians from the Chicagoland area for an interactive panel discussion moderated by FCAI Executive Director Mark Palmer. \nRepresenting figure skating and speed skating\, the athletes will share stories about preparing for the Olympics\, performing under pressure\, overcoming setbacks\, teamwork and what it’s really like to compete on the world’s biggest stage. \nThe evening begins with cocktails and networking\, followed by dinner and the Olympic panel discussion. FCAI members\, associate members\, spouses and guests are welcome. Attendance is complimentary. \nPlease RSVP beginning August 24\, 2026. \nMeet the Athletes\n\n\nAlexa Knierim\nPairs Figure Skating \nA two-time Olympic medalist\, Alexa won team gold in 2022 and team bronze in 2018. She is also a 2022 World Champion and five-time U.S. National Champion. \n\n\nEmery Lehman\nSpeed Skating \nA four-time U.S. Olympian\, Emery represented Team USA at the 2014\, 2018\, 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics\, winning team pursuit bronze in 2022 and silver in 2026. \n\n\nEthan Cepuran\nSpeed Skating \nEthan represented Team USA at the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics\, earning team pursuit bronze in 2022 and silver in 2026. \n\n\nNancy Swider-Peltz Sr.\nSpeed Skating \nThe first American to compete in four Winter Olympics in speed skating\, Nancy is a two-time world record holder who competed in eight Olympic Trials over four decades.
